Since 1984, GMA has worked to provide students with an authentic, quality Montessori educational experience. From our convenient location in Prairie Village, Kansas, our students benefit from Kansas City’s finest art museums, parks and other cultural gifts just outside our door.

GMA is currently pursuing a rigorous, multi-year certification process through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), founded in 1929 “to maintain the integrity of her [Montessori’s] life’s work, and to ensure that it would be perpetuated after her death.” Through its certification and teacher training, AMI strives to maintain the principles of Dr. Montessori and thereby help students worldwide to reach their full potential in society. We currently offer three Children’s House classrooms and one Lower Elementary classroom each lead by a certified Montessori teacher and classroom assistant. We also have one classroom for our toddler program, which can have up to 16 children from age 2–3, lead by teachers with extensive childcare experience.

Montessori's educational approach has changed the learning process throughout the world. There are approximately 22,000 Montessori schools worldwide. Montessori schools teach children from as early has birth to 18 years old when children become adults.
